WaterWorks: Soak up the Science
WaterWorks: Soak up the Science is a new exhibit running through Sept. 6 at the museum. Families can enjoy several spectacular displays that show how water is an essential part of our lives, in our homes, water treatment plants, oceans and glaciers. Kids can pilot a model submarine, play water pinball, measure their own personal water use and watch a movie starring Walter the Water Molecule. The museum is open Monday to Saturday 10 a.m.-5 p.m.; Sunday noon-6 p.m. Admission: $16 for adults, $15 seniors, $12 kids 2 to 12, free for kids under 2.

Dino Island exhibit
A prehistoric adventureland featuring robotic dinosaurs is the latest exhibit at the museum. See them walking, feeding, roaring, fighting, hatching and caring for their young. Plus an erupting volcano. Admission is $15 for adults and children, $12 for Florida Residents, free for children under 1 year. The exhibit runs through Jan. 2.

K'Nex: Building Thrill Rides exhibit
This exhibit, sponsored by MomsMiami, gives kids the chance to learn about the science, math and technology behind thrill rides. It runs through Sept. 19. The museum is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Saturday; noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.
