Well, we did it! We saw history and now our trek back home has begun. I must first say that I am still floating on a cloud that we got to see the President standing right in front of us. We started our commute early on Tuesday at 4 am to reach our destination to witness history. It was no surprise that everyone else had the same idea and that as we took the Metro system towards DC that the excitement of it all was evident! We decided in the Summer that we wanted to be in DC (with our little ones) for the historic event if Obama won the election. On Nov 4th, history was made so we finalized our plans to come to DC this week. Unfortunately, we did not get those prized tickets to the "swearing in" ceremony but we plan to be at the Newsmuseum along the parade route on Pennslyvania Avenue.
